Position Description
This position is for a Sonography tech part-time in a hospital setting.  Depending on patient load/volume scheduling is generally bi-weekly and includes general, OB/GYN, and vascular studies.

Responsibilities:
The following general duties and responsibilities are to:
·	Perform preliminary reports and communicate findings to the appropriate physician according to established procedures.
·	Monitor and ensure the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patient during diagnostic examinations. 
·	Perform related clerical duties as needed.
·	Maintain ultrasound equipment, work area, and adequate supplies.

Qualifications:
•	High school diploma or equivalent required;
•	Degree or certification from Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program required.
•	Two (2) years’ experience in diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology preferred.
•	American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification required.
•	Credentialing as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.
•	Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
